Is the Roland TD-9S worth buying? Or save up for the TD-12 or TD-20?
Are you fairly new to drumming? I would think that in several years you would want to be playing in a band or at least jamming with others and you'll probably want an acoustic set then. But, you can still use the TD brain to trigger the acoustic set. I have played the TD-9 and it is a very high end kit, this is a $2700 drum set. Sure the 12 or 20 would give you more sounds but the 9 is a great kit. But hey, if you have the means to spend $7000 on a TD-20 then go for it by all means. That is one hell of a drum set for sure. Enjoy which ever set you purchase, they are all awesome drum sets.
