No you cannot do what you suggest because you cannot activate Defenders Intersect during the main phase (which is the only time you could synchro summon TD) and you wouldnt be able to attack with TD because Synchro Material would prevent that. Chaining cards to TD is only good if the card has a continuous effect that happens even though the card is gone (like Waboku) or if the card has an immediate effect (like Call of the Haunted or Dust Tornado).
