Would you put laminate flooring in a kitchen or laundry room?

This is just my opinion, but i think that laminate is better than having wood floors in a kitchen! I have laminate in my laundry room, and tile in my kitchen. the handy part about laminate is that it easily comes up, and you have quick access to underneath, need be. if you spill, on carpet, it can leave a stain, and even begin to smell. water spilled on wood floor can damage the wood if not gotten up quickly. I'd say tile or laminate are your best bet for somewhere prone to spills.
